Cornerstone
Eastern Hills Church of Christ has a ministry called Cornerstone. Job 38: 4-7 describes the greatness of our God. In this scripture and others throughout the New Testament the word "Cornerstone" is used to convey that Jesus is the building block or "Cornerstone" that the church is built upon. Eastern Hill's seniors are part of that foundation. Thus "CORNERSTONE" is a good name for this ministry to serve seniors at Eastern Hills.

How do we serve seniors?
HELPING HANDS - Often our seniors may need assistance with small "handy-man" efforts. Having someone to call for advice or direction about everyday fix-it" issues could be helpful to our seniors. This may be particularly useful for widowers, widows, or senior couples that need some help or guidance on repairs around the home and family doesn't live close by.
FELLOWSHIP FOLLIES
Fun & Fellowship
As an example, Movie Night. We show great movies from the past that we all know and love, meet together and spend an afternoon or evening in fellowship, movie watching and reminiscing
Day Trips
Perhaps a fun local day-trip to places like the Arboretum or Bluebonnet festival is a fun outing for seniors. Lunch together and view the beautiful flowers and take-in all of God's wonderful creations. It can be a fun and uplifting day! For the more adventurous folks, day trips may be possible to nearby historical or cultural centers
The Cornerstone ministry has provided these services to EHCC seniors over the | past couple of years but with all our new family members it's time to communicate the purpose and mission of the Cornerstone ministry once again
