This ministry at EHCC seeks to help our elderly and widows who may need a little extra help or handy-man chores. Helping Hands is a part of our Cornerstone Ministry.

1 Timothy 5:3-5 outlines who needs help from this ministry. This is not targeted for just widows but elderly couples whose children live away and cannot always be there to help their parents on a moment’s notice.

Often simple household tasks can come up that are too difficult for an elderly person can handle. Helping Hands may be able to assist. Example tasks include but are not limited to changing hard to reach light bulbs or batteries in smoke alarms. Some tasks are unsafe or too physically exerting. Sometimes there are bigger household tasks that may be beyond the skill or availability of our Helping Hands volunteers. What Helping Hands can do is suggest qualified and fair contractors or repairmen that are known and trusted

No. Often needs of our elderly are better served by the women of the church. Depending upon the tasks we have women that can help or serve our elderly.

The church offices maintains a list of Helping Hands volunteers. Contact Sharon and tell her your need. She'll contact a volunteer who will call you.
